Volt Meets Experts is proud to present special guest Jojo Mehta, co-founder of Stop Ecocide, environmental lawyer and activist.
Jojo has been bringing ecocide to the forefront of the environmental debate, her movement successfully canvassing support from earth protectors worldwide, including pronounced endorsements from Greta Thunberg, the Greens in various EU countries and all the way to the Pope, with whom the organisation has had direct audience the past months.
On Wednesday 11th November at 5pm CET, Jojo presents the case why she believes ecocide should be a priority discussion for any seriously engaged political party such as VoltEuropa and why the drive to make it a 5th crime against humanity punishable by the ICC is gathering rapid pace. She is joined by the Co-President of VoltEuropa Reinier Van Lanschot who will offer his thoughts on what implications ecocide might have on the 5 +1 Fundamental Challenges that exist at the core of VoltEuropa's platform. This online forum event will be moderated by Peter Morrison and will be open to questions from listeners.
