  • Reporting to: Konrad Ritter and Reinier van Lanschot
  • Hours: 15 hrs per week
  • Location: no particular location is required
  • Date of dispatch of this notice: 31 January 2019

The position

Ensure the development of Volt Academy activities and support to Volt at all geographical levels in terms of learning, development, research and capacity building, delivering trainings, coaching and support measure to the party’s competence development, and managing the foreseen subsections such as the Academy’s Knowledge Management, Academy Think Tank,  Academy pool of Trainers and Coaching and working groups such as Volt Meets Experts, Run 4 Volt

Key responsibilities & duties: 

Responsible for the work of the European Academy team, for coordination of working groups/competence circles facilitators and for communication with and supporting national and local Academy teams

Tasks and Competencies:

  • Responsible for the work of the European Academy team and for ensuring development of a coherent European program.  Coordinate facilitators and set team goals. Organise and lead team calls.
  • Ensure regular communication with the Volt Academy working groups, with Volt Academy national and local chapters, and with the leadership..
  • To manage pools of trainers, coaches and facilitators, as well as deliver capacity building, empowerment and training materials and content

Must have:

  • Prior working experience in education, training.
  • Leadership skills.  
  • Team oriented approach. 
  • Project management and organisational skills. 
  • Available to regularly answer messages and calls.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Organisational and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work well in a team and seek consensus
  • Public Communication and Public Speaking

Optional (but preferred)

  • Experience in building teams
  • Prior experience in developing/managing organisation and individual capacity building processes
  • Learning Process Management  
  • Strategic management (long term vision implementation)
