The Elected Officials Office (EOO) will support our Volt mandate holders across the continent with coordination and liaison, internal and external communication, policy, and other key deliverables.

Purpose of the Elected Officials’ Office: The EUR EOO team is primarily responsible for facilitating the establishment and maintenance of communication and working relations between all of Volt’s EOs, the European Board, country chapters with EOs, and other functional teams, mainly EUR Comms, EUR Policy, and EUR Tech.

Purpose of the position: With currently over 110 elected officials in 5 different countries, mainly in Germany, Netherlands, and Italy, Volt has been growing need to professionalise and increase its capacities to support our mandate holders on their tasks and align with our policies so we may effectively implement Volt’s vision. Support the creation of the necessary strutures within Volt to support current and future, while Volt still has a manageable number of EOs before.

As a co-lead of the newly created European Elected Officials Office (EOO), you will have the following tasks: 

  • You will improve and develop working and communication streams between the Volt elected officials, the European Board, and the European communications & policy leads. 
  • You will facilitate and improve communication and coordination of internal and external communication of Volt’s elected officials.
  • You will administer and coordinate the overall information about Volt’s  elected officials in coordination with the naional chapters.
  • You will support and sometimes moderate the weekly and monthly calls of the European Board and the EOs,  the weekly and monthly calls, and support the organization of future Volt Elected Officials Summits. 
  • You will liaise with local and regional level EOs on their goals and support EOs and the European Board in proposing action for the parliamentary teams.
  • You will co-create standards and processes for all EOs and relevant EUR leadership. 

What we are looking for Experience & Skills: 

  • Experience with political or governmental work,
  • English is the main working language, and multiple languages is an advantage,
  • Be a teamplayer and networker,
  • Have strong organising skills and the ability to work under pressure in a political environment.

Hours: approx. 8-12 hrs per week, flexible schedule
