About the position:

You will be responsible for writing timely and effective opinion pieces that help bring Volt’s positions into major publication, both at a European and national level. You will also be responsible for helping other Volters, especially European board members, national leads and election candidates, identify and draft opinion pieces that help position them as thought leaders.

What you will do:

• Write and edit opinion pieces

• Obtain relevant content from sources of knowledge within Volt (such as the EUR Policy team)

• Guide other Volters in identifying suitable topics and help them write opinion pieces on them

• Build and maintain relationships with the relevant media representatives responsible for evaluating and publishing opinion pieces

What you should bring to the job:

• Proven copy-writing record

• Ideally previous experience writing opinion pieces in the media

• Excellent English-language skills

• A good sense for relevant and timely topics

• The ability to plan ahead and meet deadlines in order to publish “just in time”
